The startling admission was part of court testimony by Dr. Jennifer Ameli — with The National ENQUIRER unearthing her notes after she received a waiver of patient confidentiality from her dead patient's father. That allowed Dr. Ameli to reveal some of Nicole's most intimate secrets as her family joined Ron Goldman's parents in suing O.J. in a civil suit!

Ameli cried on the stand while testifying about the phone call she took from Nicole — which she recalled as coming "between 8:30 or 9" on the fateful night of June 12, 1994. Nicole was telling the doctor that she was frightened after swearing at O.J. earlier at her daughter Sydney's dance recital.

The therapist admitted that she didn't contact authorities immediately after hearing of the brutal slayings, saying she feared retaliation and didn't have permission at the time to violate her patient's confidentiality.

Dr. Ameli also revealed that Nicole had been referred to her by Ron Goldman! The therapist said she would submit to a lie-detector test to back up her claims that Nicole was a regular patient at her Malibu. Calif, office — and that Ron also received counseling from her.

According to Dr. Ameli, Ron first introduced her to Nicole — who sometimes paid, in cash, for his $55-an-hour therapy sessions. Dr. Ameli added that Ron told her Nicole was "very beautiful," but the two had never actually dated. Instead, they were joined in death just hours after Nicole spoke up angrily to her husband.
