Kate Middleton declining to give autographs, and only signing her first name when needed! "They don't know if Meghan merely forgot," said one insider, "but it was a big reminder to royal staffers that she's new to royal affairs!"

The ancient rule has been in place to keep signatures from being forged — with
Prince Harry's bride-to-be reportedly having to come up with a new signature at the age of 36. That's after security staff discovered plenty of autographed photos of the former actress and model online. "Some were a typical Hollywood scrawl," said the source, "but all it took was one fully legible signature to send down the command!"

Prince Charles once broke the royal rule for a flood-hit family in 2010. But now, said insiders, Meghan will have to learn the line used by Charles to disappoint autograph seekers, saying: “I'm sorry, but they don’t allow me to do that!”
