With a March 2 custody hearing looming, Madonna suddenly sees a ray of light in her bid to “win back” estranged son Rocco Ritchie, who reached out to her from London, where he is living with his father, Guy Ritchie, in defiance of a U.S. court order.
Rocco, 15, fled the country after he bailed on a grueling touring schedule with his superstar mother late last year.
A New York judge ordered Rocco to return to the U.S. after the holidays, but the kid has chosen to remain in London with his father and wife Jacqui Ainsley and their three young kids. Madonna has legal custody of Rocco.

It seems Rocco’s position can be summed up as: Mama don’t preach.
While film director Guy is very relaxed when it comes to household rules, the Material Girl runs a tight ship with a rigid schedule — and Rocco would like to see that atmosphere relaxed.
Word is Madonna has promised things will be different, and negotiating with her son has given her something like a prayer of bringing him home again.
