Salma blasted Weinstein in the New York Times, revealing the sick secret behind her acclaimed 2002 biopic "Frida," based on the life of bisexual artist Frida Kahlo. She went to Weinstein with her passion project, and wrote of how she had to keep saying "no" after the producer said yes to funding the film.

"No to me taking a shower with him," wrote Salma. "No to letting him watch me take a shower. No to letting him give me a massage. No to letting a naked friend of his give me a massage. No to letting him give me oral sex. No to my getting naked with another woman." But, revealed Salma, Weinstein finally used his clout to get one of his fantasies on film!

Salma wrote that Weinstein complained that she wasn't glamorous or sexy enough in the artsy project. He then demanded a steamy lesbian sex scene — complaining that it wasn't enough for her character to passionately kiss costar Ashley Judd onscreen. He also insisted that Salma showed off full-frontal nudity. "I had to say yes," she wrote.

"By now," Salma continued, "so many years of my life had gone into this film...So I agreed to do the senseless scene." Salma brought in another actress to shoot some graphic lovemaking — and had a nervous breakdown on the set: "My body began to shake uncontrollably, my breath was short and I began to cry and cry, unable to stop, as if I were throwing up tears."

In a sick twist, Weinstein continued to taunt Salma and director Julie Taymor. The film would ultimately get rave reviews. Salma, however, claims Weinstein continued to threaten them, and almost didn't release "Frida" into theaters. She added: "'Frida' eventually won him two Oscars, I still didn’t see any joy. He never offered me a starring role in a movie again."
