After 12 years of marriage, Regis divorced Catherine in 1969 and wed Joy a year later. Judy claimed the new couple raised their daughters Joanna and Jennifer like royalty, while their neglect drove crippled Danny — who was born with a spinal condition that led to amputation of his legs — into a deep depression.

She insists Regis also catapulted Amy into a long battle with drug addiction. The
talk-show star finally came to her rescue in 2006 when Amy was near death, said Judy, noting that he moved her from a crime-riddled area in L.A. to a two-story home in a decent neighborhood.
