Princess Diana was divorced from her cheating husband Prince Charles and ready to marry Dodi Fayed when the doomed couple died together on August 31, 1997 — but the beloved royal left behind lots of sexual scandals of her own!

As earlier reported by The National ENQUIRER, there has been much speculation about Diana's passion as a princess for her married bodyguard Barry Mannakee — who later died in a tragic motorcycle accident. "I was only happy when he was around," she said afterwards, even adding: "I think he was bumped off...We'll never know."

Longtime bodyguard Ken Wharfe joined the speculation that Diana had a fling with Charles' close friend Oliver Hoare — a London art dealer who specialized in Islamic culture. Wharfe even claimed that guards once found Hoare half-naked and smoking a cigar behind a plant in a Kensington Palace hallway. Charles, however, seemed mostly baffled by the friendship, asking a mutual friend: "What on earth can they talk about?"

Cecilie Thomsen — who became a Bond Girl with 1997's "Tomorrow Never Dies" — spied into the private affairs of her former rock-star boyfriend Bryan Adams. The songwriter wrote "Diana" for the princess in 1985. Cecilie claims the innocent song paid off a decade later, saying: "I knew Diana had an affair with Bryan."

Diana's most notorious relationship was with Maj. James Hewitt — her dashing riding instructor who soon became her lover. Di's affair sparked enduring claims that Hewitt is Prince Harry's real father, and his caddish plans to hold on to her love letters had her desperate to cover up any more talk of scandal.

Diana even tried to sneak into Spain after Hewitt reportedly promised to return the love letters if she visited him there. She tried to go in disguise, and even endured what she called "cattle class" by flying in coach. She was discovered, though, and Hewitt later ruined his own reputation in the UK by trying to sell the letters to the highest bidder.

James Gilbey didn't win fans in the UK with the "Squidgygate" scandal, where the used-car salesman was caught on tape in a very intimate 1989 conversation with Diana — who he called "Squidgy."
