Princess Diana’s Confession: Harry’s Real Father

A shocking tell-all by Princess Diana's longtime bodyguard is the latest confirmation of the passionate affair between the beloved beauty and Captain James Hewitt of the Household Cavalry. It's just one of the many royal secrets in "Diana: A Closely Guarded Secret" — but Ken Wharfe also perpetuates what Hewitt claims is a royal lie! The loyal bodyguard admits to being an eyewitness to Diana's infidelity, but says Hewitt couldn't possibly be the true father of Prince Harry!

"The affair brought other problems," wrote Wharfe, "including malicious rumors about the paternity of Prince Harry — rumors which angered Diana greatly and which persist to this day, almost 19 years after her death." Diana's old employee then insists: "Harry was born on September 15, 1984, which means he was conceived around Christmas 1983 ... Diana did not meet James Hewitt until the summer of 1986."

But sources told The National ENQUIRER that James Hewitt — now despised by his countrymen for going public with his sordid affair — can prove that he and Diana began their affair long before the birth of Prince Harry. The bombshell revelation came after Hewitt was caught selling eight intimate letters from the lovesick Princess!

The ENQUIRER originally caught Hewitt putting items on the market that sources describe as “innocent schoolgirl love notes.” But a source insisted that Hewitt also held back letters that “read like a bodice-ripping romance novel.” The source added that Hewitt even had a letter where Diana admitted that ginger-haired Harry really IS Hewitt’s love child!

Palace insiders believe Hewitt, 57, is keeping the most sensational letters hidden under lock and key — for now. “But he’s not keeping Diana’s dignity intact out of any sense of chivalry,” said an insider familiar with Diana’s notes. “I believe there’s a chance some revelations could get him killed! The biggest bombshell is Diana admitting, 'Yes, it’s true. Harry is your son!'"

Speculation about Harry’s paternity has been rampant since the birth of the royal infant. He looks nothing like Prince Charles — but is an uncanny look-alike for Hewitt, with his long face, strong jaw and red hair! The ENQUIRER also recently revealed that evil Camilla Parker Bowles has taunted Harry and told him she can prove Charles isn’t his father!

The ENQUIRER has also learned that Hewitt has revealed that he first bedded Diana in 1982! “No wonder that Diana [wrote] Charles ‘will want me dead’ if he found out about Harry’s paternity,” said the insider. “She warned James that Charles was a terribly dangerous man.”

Incredibly, Hewitt — through an intermediary — originally gave Princes William and Harry the first right of refusal for the  letters that he had planned to sell through an American memorabilia dealer. The lot, which was expected to fetch $150,000 at auction, includes a note from an 8-year-old William!

Hewitt, however, later announced that he had never meant to sell the letters — and declared that he intended to keep them until his death. “Both brothers are enraged,” warned the royal insider. “To some, it smacks of blackmail. Hewitt should be very careful — he’s playing with fire!”
