Peter O’Toole had eight Oscar nominations as Best Actor, but the legendary actor was better known as one of Hollywood’s craziest characters! Now bizarre new revelations about the “Lawrence of Arabia” star’s antics have been revealed in “Peter O’Toole: The Definitive Biography,” where author Robert Sellers tries to round up the definitive portrayal of the international wildman! Peter shocked his fans and fellow stars by living to the age of 81, finally passing away on Dec. 14, 2013 — after decades of drinking his way through a stellar acting career. And, as earlier reported by The National ENQUIRER, Peter was one of Hollywood’s greatest lovers — estimating that he bedded over 1,033 beauties before his death. That included plenty of big-name costars, too, with shocking new details added in Sellers’ book…

Peter had a famous and enduring rivalry with
Richard Burton over
Elizabeth Taylor, and the new book reveals how that famous love triangle finally came to an end. Sellers writes that the actress finally ended their friendship after finding her two lovers (here in 1964's "Becket") drunk on the floor of a bar and hugging each other!

But, as reported by The ENQUIRER, Peter and Richard were close enough by then to have gotten together for a threesome with
Ava Gardner. “It took the both of us to satisfy her that night,” said Peter, adding: “She told me I was 10 times the lover that
[Clark] Gable was, but not quite the equal of
Robert Mitchum.”

Peter also had a tragic romance with
Audrey Hepburn (then married to Mel Ferrer) that ended with a miscarriage. He was also a bad influence working with Audrey on the set of 1966's "How to Steal A Million," with Sellers revealing that Peter got his costar drunk during a break in filming. Her attempt to drive onscreen would lead to a minor car crash.

Katharine Hepburn, however, was
definitely not interested! But while Peter said that Katherine dismissed him as "a pig and a drunkard,” Sellers reveals that his costar from "The Lion in Winter" also took care of him through drunken bouts — much like she did for frequent costar
Spencer Tracy.

In the end, however, Peter O'Toole began to suffer for his wild ways. He managed a final Best Actor Oscar nomination in 2006 for an indie film called "Venus," but the aging actor had began to look much more decrepit. "He was just a drunk. You know, he had a two-day part, and I played Helen of Troy and he was Peter O’Toole, and he just wanted to make sure that everybody knew that he was Peter O’Toole. And he could barely make it up the stairs!"
