Peter O’Toole enjoyed over 1,033 Hollywood nights of love — but he couldn’t impress Diane Kruger! The busy actress recently took the time to diss the Hollywood legend during an interview with co-star Norman Reedus from her new film “Sky” — who asked her: “Who’s the meanest actor you’ve ever worked with?” Diane responded by going into detail about what it was like to work with the “Lawrence of Arabia” star on the 2004 film “Troy.” Despite decades of drinking, insisted Diane, he’d finally gotten to the point where he was risking a ruined career over his vices. “He was just a drunk,” said Diane. “You know, he had a two-day part, and I played Helen of Troy and he was Peter O’Toole, and he just wanted to make sure that everybody knew that he was Peter O’Toole. And he could barely make it up the stairs.”

In fact, Peter lived for several more years before passing away in 2013 at the age of 81. And while former fashion model Diane wasn't impressed with his ways, the Irish heartthrob’s conquests included legendary screens divas such as Ava Gardner, Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor!

"We were on a set that was — you know, you have to climb, like, I don’t know, 100 steps to go up," continued Diane, who seemed to enjoy Peter's company more at the film's premiere. "First of all, everybody thought he was gonna die right there and then. Because it was, you know, 120 degrees, and he had to walk up 100 stairs. And he was very old, and very drunk."

Peter was still a rising star when Liz summoned him to discuss a role in “Cleopatra” in 1960. “For the first time in my life with a woman, I was nervous, fearing she might critique my performance,” he recalled. Peter didn’t land the role — but he began a long romance with Liz that eventually had him brawling with drinking buddy Richard Burton over who Liz preferred between the sheets.

Sultry screen siren Ava, however, wasn’t choosy: She opened her boudoir to both Peter and Richard while filming 1964’s “Night of the Iguana” (pictured) with Liz’s then-husband. “It took the both of us to satisfy her that night,” said Peter, adding: “She told me I was 10 times the lover that [Clark] Gable was, but not quite the equal of Robert Mitchum.”

Their affair ended when Audrey discovered she was pregnant. But she had no idea whether the father was her husband — actor Mel Ferrer — or Peter. Sadly, she later suffered a miscarriage.

At least Diane Kruger is in good company when it comes to ladies who weren't impressed by the actor. Peter landed one of his eight Oscar nominations for 1968’s “The Lion in Winter,” but failed to win over his costar. “Katharine Hepburn called me a pig and a drunkard,” he recalled. “But I can’t think of any other ladies I missed!”
