Just days after Nicole's turn on the red carpet, "Big Little Lies" producer Bruna Papandrea was ready to declare, "I'm not done with these women yet" — despite insiders saying that costars Reese and Nicole were enduring "a real grin-and-bear-it" moment while presenting together

The feud actually goes back to Nicole's fever for another Academy Award — with Reese furious that Nicole didn't do more to push the show when it debuted on HBO in 2016. “Reese is furious that Nicole hasn’t done more to support 'Big Little Lies,'” a source told The ENQUIRER. “All she’s talked about in interviews is 'Lion.'”

"Lion" was a small film that still landed Nicole a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role — which insiders said made for a tense Academy Awards with the two Oscar winners. “You could cut the tension with a knife,” noted the source. “Nicole was telling her people to keep Reese away from her!”

But that changed in the wake of Nicole beating out Reese as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie. "Reese," declared Nicole during her acceptance speech, "I share this with you." That was enough to get producer Bruna to say: 'We're definitely talking about [a second season] — and there's a process, but I'm really hopeful."
