The National ENQUIRER had the scoop when Nick — found legally liable for the death of Whitney Houston's daughter — was arrested in June 2017 for assaulting girlfriend Laura Leal in Sanford, Fla. Police arrested Nick after arriving at the couple's residence, with Laura claiming that he struck her on the face several times while driving home. But, as can be heard here, Nick's initial 911 call had him claiming: "My girlfriend is acting insane on me right now," and "She is putting her hands on me" — adding, "Bro, I have scratches!"

After being disconnected, police reached Nick again as he continued to plead for officers to arrive. He appears to be in tears while saying: "She just threw a bottle, please!" As the call continues, Nick adds: "I feel so lame." But despite the claims, Nick was still finally hauled off to jail — charged with domestic abuse and told to put up a $500 bond.

The arrest came just days after pop star Bobby Brown blasted his dead daughter's ex-lover, saying that he wanted Nick in prison "so somebody can rape him." The bitter father has already given public support to Laura Leal, saying: “I do not want to see any more families destroyed at the hands of domestic violence and I do not want any more women to suffer like my daughter did.”
