A tearful Savannah Guthrie made the bombshell announcement to stunned viewers on the morning of Nov. 29 — reading Lack's memo saying NBC executives "have reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident." But that's not news to ENQUIRER readers, with "Today" insiders detailing their own concerns about Matt's chasing women on the set!

Matt was first hit with shocking claims of possible sexual harassment in 2013 — with staffers saying he was using his "Today" show clout to chase a 20-year-old college coed! Insiders said he'd become “obsessed” with gorgeous Lucie Fink, who had made several appearances on “Today” over the past 15 months to discuss social issues.

Insiders claimed that Matt had sent Lucie flirty texts and even whisked her away to a swanky New York City hotel for lunch — all apparently behind the back of his wife, Annette Roque. Lucie had even gushed about her off-set time with Matt, once posting: “Just ate lunch alone with Matt Lauer at the Four Seasons Hotel’s restaurant in NYC,” she recently posted.

“He is SO nice," added Lucie, calling him "my new mentor.” But a friend of Lucie's warned at the time that Lucie was being naive about Matt’s true intentions. “She’s going into this completely blind and innocent,” the friend revealed — and speculated that “he wants to bed her!”

Just two years after their 1998 wedding, Annette learned that Matt had an affair with married 26-year-old Jessica Thorman while they were engaged. And in 2006, Annette filed for divorce amid rumors of Matt romancing “Today” colleague Natalie Morales during the Winter Olympics in Italy.

But, said an insider, “Matt’s already on thin ice” — claiming that Ann Curry had gone to NBC brass after she was brutally fired from "Today" in 2012: "She told them what she knew of the rumors about Matt and Natalie — as well as those of his flirtatious relationship with a former blonde intern who worked for the show!"
