Elvis Presley is once again being honored by fans on the anniversary of his Aug. 16 date — but Lisa Marie Presley is making sure the Memphis celebration is all about her! The anniversary of her dad’s death is providing a chance for the broke pop heiress to cash in after squandering her inheritance. As earlier covered by The National ENQUIRER, Lisa Marie is going public over being broke while in the midst of a hellish divorce. She’s suing a former business manager for blowing through her $100 million trust, even while the ex-employee has blasted back to say that the troubled star spent herself to the poorhouse. Since then, Lisa’s been involved in a series of desperate moves to salvage a career that’s put her in the red!

Despite admitting in court papers that
she's gone in debt over her failed albums, Lisa Marie's music is the focus of “Lisa Marie: Growing Up Presley” — set to celebrate “Lisa the daughter, the mother, her charity work, her career, and how she will carry on her dad’s legacy.” Some fans, however, aren't buying her self-promoting presence.

“She joined the mourners last year
for the 40th anniversary [of Elvis' death],” said a Memphis insider, “but the last big appearance she did around Elvis Week was debuting at the Grand Ole Opry in 2012. That was when she had a new album to promote. But she'll always be beloved here in Memphis — as long as she keeps her word about never selling Graceland!”
