The latest fight is over to keep Leslie Van Houten — one of the deadly disciples of dead cult leader Charles Manson — from walking out of prison! Judge William C. Ryan issued a ruling in Los Angeles on June 29 rejecting her latest request to be released immediately from prison. Van Houten, now 68, had gone to court in the new bid for release after Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed the second shocking decision by a parole board to let her loose in recent years. The judge declared that Van Houten’s “crimes terrified a generation and remain imprinted on the public.” And, as revealed by The National ENQUIRER, experts say Van Houten is still dedicated to her dead mentor! Get the shocking inside story on how Manson’s influence lives on after death, and click here for more news on Van Houten’s sick guru…

Leslie wasn't part of the Manson Family killers sent out on August 8, 1969, to murder for Manson — as his followers savagely slashed pregnant actress
Sharon Tate (wife of
Roman Polanski) and four others in a rented mansion. The death of the LaBiancas, however, was no less brutal!

District Attorney Jackie Lacey had earlier asked for California Gov. Jerry Brown to step in to keep Van Houten locked up. "She clearly lacks insight, genuine remorse, and an understanding of the magnitude of her crimes," the D.A. wrote in a letter to the governor — adding that she believes Leslie is still under Manson's spell: "She simply does not see him for the brutal megalomaniac that he is!"

At one of her parole hearings, Leslie (seen here in 1977) admitted stabbing Rosemary as many as 16 times. The murderer — who's incarcerated at the California Institute for Women at Frontera — has since insisted that she stabbed Rosemary "only" after her victim was dead. But a photograph of Rosemary's 42 stab wounds showed some were bleeding, indicating she was still alive when Leslie attacked!

The word "war" was carved into Mr. LaBianca's flesh, and a carving knife and fork protruded from his body. The cold-blooded killers scrawled "Death to Pigs" and "Healter[sic] Skelter" in the LaBiancas' blood on the walls of the house — with the words meant to incite Manson's vision of a worldwide race war!

The stab wounds on Mrs. LaBianca are believed to have been inflicted while she was held hostage by Leslie and Patricia (pictured). The victim had been bound with a lamp cord around her neck, and had a pillowcase over her head. Detectives surmised that she had started to struggle after hearing her husband being murdered by Tex in the next room. Patricia later left a fork sticking out of Mrs. LaBianca's body.

Cory LaBianca, Rosemary LaBianca's stepdaughter, went to the press when Leslie was first recommended for parole. “Maybe Leslie Van Houten has been a model prisoner," she said, "but you know what? We still suffer our loss. My father will never be paroled. My stepmother will never get her life back. There’s no way I can agree with the ruling today.”

Sharon Tate's sister joined in fighting against Leslie's release, in a show of support alongside the grieving LaBianca family members. “These are serial killers,” Debra Tate told reporters. “These are, as far as I know, the original domestic terrorists.”

Other concerned District Attorneys have fought against Leslie's release in earlier years. When she seemed likely to win parole in 2000, Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Stephen Kay went to The ENQUIRER to express his fears: "She should never be paroled. She minimizes her participation in the killings. She makes excuses like, 'Oh, I was in a fog' or 'Tex made me do it!'"

Leslie's disturbing bid for parole also came just as Tex Watson recently
made shocking new admissions about the Manson Family murders — because he wanted accounts of the killings to be accurate on the internet! He has a parole hearing scheduled for November 2016. Patricia Krenwinkel will be eligible for a parole hearing in 2018.

Charles Manson's died in 2017 at 83 before his planned parole hearing for 2027. Meanwhile, D.A. Lacey made a convincing case to Gov. Brown: "The viciousness of the murders, the relationship of those murders to the effort to incite the 'Helter Skelter' race war, and Van Houten's attempts to minimize her criminal responsibility make her an unreasonable risk of danger to society!"
