Pitbull L.A. lawyer Christopher Tayback — known as "Son of Mel" — had failed in an earlier request for a postponement, but also had Judge Craig Karlan agreeing that it was possible for Cosby's deposition on the Huth lawsuit to be postponed later.

Cosby loses bid to have sex crime trial scrapped
Cosby's lawyers also blamed the Pennsylvania case for the dismissal of his lawsuit against Beverly Johnson, saying: “The case has been voluntarily dismissed at this time due to the pendency of the criminal proceedings in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, which impede Mr. Cosby’s ability to fully participate in litigating the civil case against Ms. Johnson" — but added that Cosby planned "to re-file the complaint...prior to the expiration of the statute of limitations.”
