Val Kilmer is finally talking about his cancer battle — he’s just not admitting he still has cancer!
The 57-year-old sick star admitted The ENQUIRER scoop in a discussion with a fan during a recent online interview on the social platform Reddit.
The fan asked: “A while ago, Michael Douglas claimed you had terminal cancer. What was the story behind that?”
“He was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen altho healing all the time,” answered the actor. “Because I don’t sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather.”
Douglas, who Kilmer says sent him a note to apologize after the “false” claim, battled oral cancer himself recently.
“Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don’t look to good for him,” said Douglas at the time. “My prayers are with him. That’s why you haven’t heard too much from Val lately.”
Kilmer has denied having any major health issues for months, and took to his Facebook page to battle back against Douglas!

“I love Michael Douglas but he is misinformed. The last time I spoke to him was almost two years ago, when I asked him for a referral for a specialist to get a diagnosis for a lump in my throat,” Kilmer responded. “I ended up using a team at UCLA and have no cancer whatsoever.”
The “Top Gun” and “Doors” star claims to have a “swollen tongue” and is rehabbing it steadily, although when he presented his film, “Citizen Twain” in November he was noticeably slurring his speech and struggling to get any words out!
But as The ENQUIRER reported, his condition has challenged his faith as a Christian Scientist — where cancer is thought to be a “mental error” to be healed only through prayer!
“Whatever led Michael Douglas to speculate about my health, he’s a loving and devoted friend to a privileged group of talent people around the world, and I’m sure he meant no harm,” said Kilmer. “He’s a classy guy.”
