In an early morning Twitter post, Roseanne made a reference to former top
Barack Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett — saying: "Muslim brotherhood & Planet of the Apes had a baby = VJ." The shocking comment quickly had the beloved star getting blasted by both regular Twitter users and major celebrities. That included top "Roseanne" staffer Wanda Sykes.

Roseanne, meanwhile, had already announced that she's leaving Twitter — after deleting the original statement and still attempting to make amends. "I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans," Barr said in a follow-up Tweet. "I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me — my joke was in bad taste."
