The shocking meeting began when Simpson, his trusted friend Kardashian, noted lawyer F. Lee Bailey and lead attorney Shapiro gathered in court on October 11, 1994. According to Schiller, Shapiro began to lay out a shocking scenario of what could have happened on the night of June 13, 1994, when Nicole was brutally murdered after attending a school recital with her ex-husband earlier in the evening.

"You were offended when the family refused to allow you to go to dinner with them at Mezzaluna," said Shapiro, according to Schiller. "You decided to punish Nicole by slashing her tires. You went to her home with a knife and were about to slash them when she caught you."

You were so enraged, you killed him. The bloody clothes and the knife go in the golf bag to Chicago."

Kardashian disposes of them."

Schiller claimed that Simpson then "shook" before shouting out: "You've got to be crazy!" F. Lee Bailey reportedly warned Kardashian: "It's now being suggested that you are an accessory after the fact to murder." "I can't believe what I'm hearing," Kardashian replied. "I'm not an accessory to anything." But, according to Schiller, Shapiro insisted: "You know he could have done this."

Kardashian even added that he had offered the bag to police, saying: "This is Mr. Simpson's luggage" — and explaining that it was from the trip to Chicago the same night of the murders. Kardashian said that the police didn't show any interest in the suitcase, and he kept the luggage unopened in his home even though detectives "could have taken it any time."

Simpson never forgave Kardashian for going public, according to Schilling — who cited the attorney as a main source in a book that he wrote about the trial. Schilling also joined Kardashian in being considered a "traitor" by Simpson. "They've betrayed me," Simpson told a friend. "I feel like they've stabbed me in the back."
