Ten years after his death, Michael Jackson‘s family still suffer unspeakable heartbreak and are facing new scandals and tragedies – involving his siblings, children and haunting the star’s pop legacy.
As the world reflects on the 10th anniversary of the ‘King of Pop’s death, a close friend of the Jackson family told NationalEnquirer.com how the family is coping.
Jackson was found dead from a toxic drug overdose at age 50 in his Los Angeles home on June 25, 2009, after being given the anesthetic drug Propofol by his personal doctor, Conrad Murray.
“He would be absolutely heartbroken and devastated to see what has become of them. His children, as well as his entire family, were the most important things in his life,” the insider said.
“They were, in fact, his only real human connection. In a world that Michael didn’t trust, and often times feared, his family were his lifeline. They kept him going.”
The Jackson family has gone through many hardships in the last 10 years including the passing of his patriarch, Joe, and his mother Katherine‘s ill health. Michael’s daughter Paris has battled with drugs, alcohol and self harm while his sister, Janet, has married and split from husband Wissam Al Mana.
