Kirk Douglas is alive and well at 101 years old — and still enjoying sunny L.A. days with his wife Anne, who’s staying at his side after turning 99 years old in April! They’re an especially enduring marriage by showbiz years, too, where celebrities can often have scandalously short marriages. Instead, Kirk and Anne have celebrated their 64-year wedding anniversary in May. They had plenty to celebrate, too. The enduring couple were able to mark the day while knowing that Kirk’s grandson Cameron Douglas was finally out of prison — with the troubled son of Michael Douglas freed after a seven-year stretch for drug dealings. That’s after insiders had revealed that Kirk was once even willing to risk his own health with a cross-country visit to see Cameron in prison!

Kirk and Anne have also survived some of Cameron's bumps on the road to recovery — with their grandson once
getting busted on a probation violation after getting caught with marijuana in his system. In a lucky break for the showbiz scion, however, a probation officer told a judge that the relapse was "part of the recovery process," and Kirk was spared the heartbreak of seeing Cam getting put back behind bars!

Michael's determined to keep Cameron a free man, too, and has even asked his troubled son to move into this L.A. estate with his family. “Michael will do anything to keep Cameron from going back inside,” a source spilled. “He wants his son to know he’s there for him.” The source added that Michael once had to mend fences with his own father, and the movie star wants to grow old without having to worry about a similar rift between him and Cameron.
