Kevin Spacey: Sex Scandals From The Start Of His Career

Kevin Spacey didn't need to be a movie star to pursue his perverted passions — with Gabriel Byrne revealing that the Oscar-winner shut down production of "The Usual Suspects" after getting caught in a sex scandal!

Spacey became an overnight star in the 1995 thriller helmed by notorious director Bryan Singer. But he almost didn't get his Oscar for the movie after nearly scuttling the shoot — with Byrne saying that the movie was mysteriously shut down for two days.

"It was only years later that we began to understand that [filming] was closed down for a particular reason," Byrne told the UK's Sunday Times, "and that was because of inappropriate sexual behavior by Spacey."

"I did not know honestly then the extent of his violence," Byrne added. "I mean, he was kind of a joke in that people would say, "That’s Kevin," but nobody really understood the depth of his predations." The actor also noted that "The Usual Suspects" was produced by Harvey Weinstein, the notorious sexual harasser Byrne blasted as "a vile bully."
