George Clooney has joined the big stars caught in sex scandals after attacking their old pal Harvey Weinstein for sexually harassing actresses — after shocking claims by a troubled former “ER” costar! But the star is also quickly responding after former “ER” star Vanessa Marquez has accused him of covering up her own claims of sexual harassment on the show’s set. Vanessa, who won two SAG Awards for her work on “ER,” reportedly went to social media to say: “Clooney helped blacklist me when I spoke up about harassment on ‘ER” — adding a quote that she attributes to her old costar: “Women who don’t play the game lose their career.”

Clooney responded to the claims on Friday afternoon, telling
RadarOnline.com: “I had no idea Vanessa was blacklisted. I take her at her word. I was not a writer or a producer or a director on that show. I had nothing to do with casting. I was an actor and only an actor. If she was told I was involved in any decision about her career then she was lied to. The fact that I couldn’t affect her career is only surpassed by the fact that I wouldn’t.”
