Priscilla, meanwhile, revealed that The King (seen here with their child Lisa Marie) was a magical lover. She was just 21 when she married him after an eight-year courtship, and the two had never been sexually intimate — that was, until their wedding night.

Following their nuptials, Elvis carried his young bride over the threshold of their private suite at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. “Gently, his lips touched mine,” Priscilla said. “Then he looked deeply into my eyes. ‘My wife,’ he said, softly. ‘I love you.’”

But their marriage wouldn’t last, as lonely Priscilla embarked on an affair with her karate instructor, Mike Stone. She finally came to the painful decision to end the marriage in 1972. But, she said, Elvis was “a giving soul who touched and gave happiness to millions all over the world. He was a very special man.”

Elvis moved on to 22-year-old sexpot Linda Thompson (who would later marry Olympian Bruce Jenner). “Elvis came along and swept me off my feet,” she recalled, though he was very much a “Southern gentleman” and was willing to wait months before she agreed to have sex. “Moonlighting” star Cybill Shepherd also dated Elvis after his breakup with Priscilla, and found him to be much as Thompson described him. “He was an incredibly attractive man, very, very sexy and very, very sweet. Elvis had kind of a sweetness, an innocence.”
