"McCabe knew that the FISA warrant was obtained using [the] shady dossier," crowed Donald Trump, Jr. after the release of the memo from the House Intelligence Committee — adding: "The Obama administration then used information that Hillary paid for to justify spying on Donald Trump. If I got that right, should be game over!"

As The National ENQUIRER reported earlier, an anonymous Republican donor paid shadowy research firm Fusion GPS to compile an anti-Trump dossier. The memo adds that the Hillary Clinton campaign later continued to fund Steele's research — claiming he was ultimately paid $160,000 by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

In January 2017, then-FBI director James Comey, CIA director John O. Brennan and NSA director Adm. Michael S. Rogers published Steele’s unproven “smears” in a report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election. As cited by Donald Trump Jr., reports from D.C. say that McCabe had confirmed to the House committee that the Steele dossier paid for by Trump's opposition was used to serve warrants while investigating Trump staffers.

The memo also claims that warrants were served based on media reports — with Fusion GPS allegedly planting stories with the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and more media outlets. A top insider earlier told The ENQUIRER that that the Trump administration always believed this information would be exposed. “When the Trumps go public with all their evidence,” said the D.C. source, “these plotters won’t know what hit them!”
