Detective Richard Schaffer told jurors that he interviewed Cosby after Andrea Constand reported that the sitcom star had drugged and sexually assaulted her in Jan. 2004. The detective testified that Cosby told investigating officers that Andrea never told him to stop during their sexual encounter — or seemed to be affected by pills that he had given her.

Cosby insisted in his statement that she had taken Benadryl while at his Pennsylvania home, while Andrea claims she had been pressured to take "herbal" medication at Cosby's request. Det. Schaffer testified that Cosby had insisted that his sexual relations were consensual — but that the comic added: "I don't remember using the word 'consensual.' It was established. She came out to the house."

The comic also told officers that he "couldn't remember" if Andrea had ever held his penis, as she testified being forced to do earlier. Det. Schaffer said that Cosby did, however, say that there was "no [intercourse] because [he] didn't feel like it." Cosby himself is not expected to testify during the trial.
