Bill Cosby: Back To ‘Being Blind’ In Rape Case

Bill Cosby is reportedly getting desperate as the disgraced comic faces a criminal trial on sexual assault charges! Cosby's had his pit bull attorneys try every move in the book to get his case thrown out of a Pennsylvania court — as Andrea Constand continues to press charges over his allegedly raping and drugging her in 2004. Now the comic has been caught needing plenty of assistance walking into the Montgomery County Courthouse for a pretrial conference on Dec. 13 — after The National ENQUIRER busted him seemingly faking that he's “legally and functionally blind.”

Cosby had his eyes mostly closed while heading to the courthouse, and relied on attorneys and assistants to assist him in walking. While onlookers snapped his photo, he acted oblivious to his surroundings — which continues an earlier court claim that he can't properly defend himself in court because he "has suffered from a degenerative eye condition."

Cosby first made the claim in 2015 while filing a defamation lawsuit by model Beverly Johnson — after he denied her claims that she had to fend off Cosby after he drugged her in his Manhattan townhouse in the 1980s. (The lawsuit was later dropped.) Renowned New York City criminal defense attorney Murray Richman said Cosby was using the blind card to show he has a “disability that makes him physically incapable” of drugging and assaulting women.

The once-beloved TV icon has also struck a fragile pose in earlier court appearances in Pennsylvania — despite The ENQUIRER catching Cosby easily departing a private plane on his own after having been earlier carefully ushered into the courthouse. He was even still holding a cane that clearly wasn't being used!

His attorneys, however, have said in Pennsylvania court documents that Cosby is registered as "legally blind" in Massachusetts, where he's a legal resident. The lawyers added that they have documentation from a doctor that confirms Cosby's failed eyesight. His former attorney Monique Pressley has previously stated that the comedian has glaucoma.

Cosby's fragile court entrance comes amid talk that the comic is finally ready to consider a plea bargain in the wake of the Pennsylvania trial moving forward. Previously, the comic's attorneys had tried several ways to dismiss the charges, including claims that Cosby was immune from prosecution after settling with Andrea in an earlier civil lawsuit!

The statute of limitations has ran out on many of the sexual assault claims made against Cosby, but a crusading District Attorney won election on a promise that he'd finally take the creepy comedian to court. Now there are reports that Cosby will even plead guilty if he can negotiate a probation deal. He may be exaggerating his health problems at the age of 79 — but Cosby's still desperate to avoid dying in jail!
