Treating post-traumatic stress disorder with medical marijuana may make symptoms worse!
A study by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs found using pot to treat PTSD increased some of the symptoms caused by the condition.
Researchers, who looked at results from 47,000 veterans who battled PTSD from 1992 to 2011, also found only 28 percent of patients who used medical marijuana for pain relief felt a change. Meanwhile 16 percent reported a change when taking a placebo!
Scientists say more studies are needed.
