What took so long?! After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the arrival of their baby boy on Monday, May 6, the royal family’s official Instagram account immediately released a statement about the birth and noted how “delighted” the entire clan was.
As for the 34-year-old prince’s supposed best mate, Prince William? It took the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge about eight HOURS to make a public statement about their nephew’s birth, adding fuel to speculation that the once tight brothers are feuding.
When they finally posted a statement to Instagram, they simply regrammed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s post with the caption, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family.”
The delay did not go unnoticed by those following the William and Kate’s Instagram account.
“Don’t they pay staff to post this on time?” a user named trotmanstravels wondered. “I doubt the Cambridge’s manage their own social channel. This is sad. It’s past 7pm here in the US, so they didn’t even post it the day their nephew was born like the Palace did. The shaaaaaaaade.”

A palace snitch previously told The National ENQUIRER that the distance between the brothers is due to their warring wives. “The women have been clashing since day one,” the insider said. “Behind their public smiles, they privately despise each other!”
One source added that Harry even confronted Wills when Meghan thought the elder prince and his wife weren’t paying enough attention to the former Suits actress. “The brothers got into a furious fight,” claimed the source. “Prince Charles was forced to step in to calm things down.”
Since then, things have seemed frosty between Princess Di’s sons. The two even appeared to avoid each other during the Easter service. In addition, a recent report in the Sunday Times claimed that the palace has even drawn up some plans to send Harry and Meghan packing to Africa for an international gig.
