Sean Spicer Turns Down ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Sean Spicer has officially turned down "Dancing With the Stars" — and the show's executives couldn't be happier!

The former White House spokesman announced that he wouldn't be able to accept an offer from "DWtS' due to an “overwhelming number of commitments” — but Spicer's controversial stint in Donald Trump's administration was already causing infighting over bringing him on the show!

Radar Online earlier revealed that "DWtS' producers quickly put Spicer on their short list for contestants, but that was causing debate backstage. “Although some feel that he may make people interested in the show,” a production insider said, “they also fear that he might cause viewers to tune out!”

Producers weren't just worried about calls to boycott the show. They were also concerned that showbiz liberals wouldn't appear during the same season as Spicer! “He is not well-liked in Hollywood,” the source told Radar.

Spicer had some support from "DWtS" dancers, though. Cheryl Burke said the tough judges “will be child’s play compared to what Sean Spicer has gone through at the White House!” Peta Murgatroyd also spoke up to say that a dancing Press Secretary would be “kind of fun!”
