Renée Zellweger Does Picture-Perfect Judy Garland

Judy Garland's tragic end is being brought to the big screen — with Renée Zellweger taking her first bow as the doomed diva in a biopic about her sad final days!

This first look at Renée is to promote the filming of "Judy," with Renée playing the troubled film legend as the aging star struggles through a series of shows in 1968 London. Other actresses appear as young Liza Minnelli and Lorna Luft. Rufus Sewell plays Judy's abusive husband Sidney Luft, but the movie is about her romance with Mickey Deans — the fifth husband rumored to be behind Judy's death!

"Judy," however, reportedly ignores that shocking report in favor of a song-based look through the star's desperate life living through Old Hollywood scandals. The film is also planned as an Oscar vehicle for Renée — who garnered a Best Actress nomination when she last showed off her own pipes in the the 2002 musical "Chicago."
