Manhattan bombing suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami taken into custody.
This is the surveillance shot that first gave law-enforcement personnel a face to the bizarre bombings that rocked New York City and New Jersey on Sept. 17! Authorities say that Ahmad Khan Rahami was caught on video while planting the bombs that injured 29 people in midtown Manhattan, and were also primed to kill innocents at a 5k run in Seaside Park, NJ, to benefit soldiers in the military!

Cops quickly raided the First American Fried Chicken restaurant owned by Rahami's family — where he also worked as a cook. A train station in Elizabeth had been shut down on Sunday evening after two homeless men had discovered a bag full of explosives and alerted the police. Authorities haven't accused Rahami of planting the bombs there.

Rahami had already tried to fight City Hall by joining two of his brothers and his father in suing the town of Elizabeth for discrimination against Muslims!

Explosion Reported in Chelsea Neighborhood of New York City
Residents complained when First American Fried Chicken restaurant opened as a 24-hour establishment creating a nuisance in the neighborhood. The family responded with a complaint against the city and an additional lawsuit against a local businessman — saying that he had said "Muslims don't belong here" and “Muslims make too much trouble in this country.”

Rahimi was arrested in Linden, NJ, after being found sleeping in the entranceway to Merdie's Tavern by the owner. There was a short gunfight where one officer was shot and another injured by breaking glass — ending in Rahimi being arrested and taken to a hospital with injuries. The officer that was shot had a bulletproof vest, and isn't facing any life-threatening injuries.
