“Everyone’s deeply concerned about her vision,” a source close to the 68-year-old star of “The Post” exclusively spilled to The National ENQUIRER. Meryl’s “Florence Foster Jenkins” co-star, Hugh Grant, even revealed she is “challenged in the eyesight department.”

“She refuses to wear contact lenses,” he recalled. “If we’re doing a scene, I could have been Denzel Washington.” But friends say it’s no joking matter and insiders reported that she has trouble with simple tasks. “Meryl complains that she has difficulty doing things like driving or reading,” one source revealed.

“She can’t read menus anymore and even has dining companions order for her.” Meryl was spotted struggling down the red carpet at the Milan premiere of “The Post” (here with costar Tom Hanks) — where she wore Coke-bottle glasses and was led through the crowd by handlers!

And doctors believe her fears are well founded! “The leading causes of blindness are primarily age-related eye diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma,” said Dr. Gabe Mirkin, who has not treated the star.
