Academy Award nominated actress Meryl Streep admits in an interview that she still gets nervous in front of the camera.
“You think you want to get out of it,” she says in the interview. “Not every time, but there are varying degrees of confidence and self-loathing, and you come to the work at different points and often have a lot of doubt.”
“I always say to my husband, ‘I’ve never felt like this before,’ and he says, ‘You always do this, always.’ “
Doubts or not, the 12-times-nominated Streep has a full plate — this month, she’s got two movies coming out, “Adaptation” with Nicolas Cage and “The Hours” with Nicole Kidman. Streep is also working on a film version of “Angels in America” with Al Pacino.
