Meghan Markle Dying To Be Princess Diana

Meghan Markle is out to be the new Princess Diana — with new revelations exposing the depths of the actress' determination to even outdo Di!

As earlier reported by The National ENQUIRER, one Buckingham Palace insider claimed that “Meghan has watched videotapes of Di over and over, copying her mannerisms and her fashion style. She’s even practiced posing like Di!" And now a new autobiography by respected author Andrew Morton has revealed more secrets of Meghan's obsession.

The upcoming "Meghan: A Hollywood Princess" reports that Meghan's life changed when Princess Diana was buried on September 6, 1997 — with her future husband Prince Harry (at left) among the mourners. Meghan's longtime friend Ninaki Priddy is quoted as saying: “She was always fascinated by the Royal Family. She wants to be princess Diana 2.0!”

Morton also reveals that Meghan was an avid reader of his own best-selling biography titled “Diana: Her True Story.” The book was given to her by the mother of her childhood friend Suzy Ardakani — with Sonia Ardakani telling The ENQUIRER that while her daughter admired Diana, Meghan was “obsessed” with the doomed royal.

“The girls didn’t just think Diana was glamorous,” Sofia said. “They were impressed by her humanitarian work and started following her example, collecting clothes and toys and helping at a soup kitchen.” And, as a palace insider told The ENQUIRER, Meghan has also been inspired to copy the wedding dress that Diana wore on the day she married Prince Charles — featuring a 25-foot-long train!

“Meghan says she’s gone for the ultimate princess dress,” said the source, “and the crazy long train is the most amazing thing she’s ever seen. The design is beautiful and very feminine. It’ll be slightly sexier and slinkier than Diana’s, and will accentuate Meghan’s figure — but ... in a very respectful way!”
