The bombshell claims are Ann's biggest blast yet
at the disgraced newsman — who used his "Today Show" cronies
to wage his own sexist campaign against his rival. She told the
Washington Post that a female staffer had come to her in tears, saying she'd been “sexually harassed physically” by Lauer.

“She was afraid of losing her job,” said Curry — adding: “I told management they had a problem, and they needed to keep an eye on him and how he deals with women.” Instead, Ann soon found herself off the "Today" set. She kept quiet even after The ENQUIRER reported that publishing insiders said she'd get "a multi-million dollar book deal" if she would "dish the dirt on Matt,
Katie Couric,
Al Roker and...Meredith Viera."

Previously, Ann has attempted to be more discreet about her "Today" experiences. But
when asked about Lauer in Jan, 2018, she replied: "I know what it's like
to be publicly humiliated, and I don't want to cause that kind of pain to somebody else. But I can say that I'd be surprised
if many of the women did not understand that there was a climate of verbal harassment that existed."

Lauer, meanwhile, was inspired to respond with a rare public statement — telling the Post: “I have made no public comments on the many false stories from anonymous or biased sources that have been reported about me over these past several months...However, I want to make it perfectly clear that any allegations or reports of coercive, aggressive or abusive actions on my part, at any time, are absolutely false.”
