‘Broke’ Lisa Marie Presley Dodges Spousal Support Payments

Lisa Marie Presley has finally gotten a break in her dirty divorce — with a judge ruling that her prenup agreement with estranged fourth husband Michael Lockwood keeps her from paying spousal support. It’s a particularly big break for the daughter of Elvis Presley, since she’s already declared herself to be in bad financial shape. Troubled Lisa Marie is even suing a business manager who says that she has only herself to blame for blowing through the millions of dollars that she had kept in a trust fund. Lisa Marie had also been ordered to cover Michael’s $100,000 legal fees back in February. The new ruling, however, says that Michael has to abide by his pre-marital agreement, even though Lisa Marie’s husband insisted that he’d never actually read the document!

Michael has also argued that he'd been left with "negative net worth" after a decade of doubling as Musical Director for Lisa Marie's stalled rock 'n roll career. Jeff Sturnam, Michael's attorney, told RADAR Online exclusively that he's “obviously disappointed,” but added that his client could still appeal the prenup ruling after a final judgment is rendered on the brutal divorce.

Lisa Marie, meanwhile, had testified during the proceedings that her husband had run up “millions of dollars” in credit card debut during their marriage. Michael is asking for $263,000 a year in alimony — claiming he’s entitled to that amount, since Lisa Marie's stake in the Elvis estate reportedly brings in an annual income of $4.2 million.
