Kirk Douglas is alive and well at 101 years old — even managing to stand while in the care of two nurses while out in L.A. on Sept. 13. The National ENQUIRER caught the “Spartacus” star making a rare appearance outdoors as one of Hollwood’s oldest living legends. The star is only rivaled by Olivia de Havilland — who’s still going at 102 years old — and former “St. Elsewhere” star Norman Lloyd, who continues to work at the age of 103. Kirk is also getting to spend his final years with grandson Cameron Douglas. The troubled son of Michael Douglas was released from prison after a seven-year stretch for drug dealings, and insiders had once revealed how Kirk was once even willing to risk his own health with a cross-country visit to see Cameron in prison!

That was back in 2015, however, when 98-year-old Kirk didn't think he'd live
to see Cameron get through his prison sentence. Instead, Kirk has kept defying the odds as he heads toward turning 102 years old in Dec. 2018. He's also been blessed to still have his wife of 64 years at his side, with Ann Douglas having turned 99 years old in April!

Michael's determined to keep Cameron a free man, too, and has even asked his troubled son to move into this L.A. estate with his family. “Michael will do anything to keep Cameron from going back inside,” a source spilled. “He wants his son to know he’s there for him.”

The source added that Michael once had to mend fences with his own father, and the movie star wants to grow old without having to worry about a similar rift between him and Cameron!
