“That was my early 40s and I had just started filming 'Sex and the City,'” she told an interviewer. “I thought to myself, ‘Wow, I have 19-hour days. I have weekends where I finish Saturday morning.’ My Monday morning would start at 4:45 a.m. and go to one or two in the morning.”

Kim says she “realized what a commitment” she’d have to make to have a test tube baby. “I thought, ‘I don’t think this is going to happen. Maybe I’m just not going to do this,’” she said. Her childless marriage to jazz musician Mark ended in 2004, the same year the series died.

The bad blood doesn’t bother her, she said, because
she was never close to her co-stars. “We’ve never been friends — we’ve been colleagues,” she revealed. “They all have children and I am 10 years older. I have been spending most of my time outside New York, so I don’t see them.
