Kim Cattrall: Bitter Star Says ‘Sex And The City’ Cost Her A Child

Kim Cattrall is shredding TV’s "Sex and the City," insisting the show that made her a star destroyed her dreams of having a family — and revealing she was never pals with her three co-stars!

The vivacious beauty says the grueling days playing glamour-puss Samantha Jones kept her from taking in-vitro treatments with third hubby Mark Levinson, whom she wed in 1998 — the year the HBO series took off.

“That was my early 40s and I had just started filming 'Sex and the City,'” she told an interviewer. “I thought to myself, ‘Wow, I have 19-hour days. I have weekends where I finish Saturday morning.’ My Monday morning would start at 4:45 a.m. and go to one or two in the morning.”

Kim says she “realized what a commitment” she’d have to make to have a test tube baby. “I thought, ‘I don’t think this is going to happen. Maybe I’m just not going to do this,’” she said. Her childless marriage to jazz musician Mark ended in 2004, the same year the series died.

But she and co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis went on to shoot two hit 'Sex' movie sequels. Now insiders say Kim has enraged the other gals by refusing to work on a third sequel.

The bad blood doesn’t bother her, she said, because she was never close to her co-stars. “We’ve never been friends — we’ve been colleagues,” she revealed. “They all have children and I am 10 years older. I have been spending most of my time outside New York, so I don’t see them.

"The common ground we had was the series," she said. "And the series is over!”
