Michael Jackson’s brothers and sisters are shamelessly taking advantage of their dementia-ravaged mom, Katherine, and mooching nearly every cent the addled woman gets from the late King of Pop’s $1 billion estate, sources told The National ENQUIRER.
“The family is able to get money from Katherine because she suffers from early stages of dementia,” said a family source. “She’s only three-quarters there mentally because of the brain condition.” Shockingly, the $67,000 monthly allowance Katherine receives from her late son’s estate was earmarked to support his three kids: Prince, 20; Paris, 19; and 15-year-old Blanket, since she’s their court-appointed guardian.
But the Thriller singer’s children haven’t even had a phone chat with their granny since early January, sources say. Instead, the 87-year-old matriarch is doling out a whopping $59,000 a month to her kin, leaving her with a relatively paltry $8,000! She gives a combined $37,000 a month to daughters La Toya and Rebbie $12,000 to son Jermaine and nearly $10,000 to foot rent bills for some of Jermaine and Randy’s kids. “She’s not really that cognizant of what’s going on,” noted the source. “That’s why they are taking advantage and taking her money.”
As previously reported, a fearful Katherine fled to London, where daughter Janet lives with infant son Eissa. She claimed her nephew Trent, who worked as her driver and lived on her California estate, had taken over her finances and made her a prisoner in her own home. Trent denies the charges. Meanwhile, the source notes Katherine’s kids don’t have “a sliver of pride left” when it comes to pestering her for money. “They’re sponging every penny out of her they can,” said the source.
