Katharine McPhee is heartbroken over the death of her father — just two weeks after she announced her engagement to 68-year-old music mogul David Foster. But the former “American Idol” star isn’t just mourning the loss of Daniel McPhee. Insiders tell The National ENQUIRER that Katharine was rushing to the altar with her older man in hopes of giving Daniel a grandchild. Sources even reported that was a major part of the couple deciding on marriage! “She’s aching to be a mom,” said an insider, “and David’s finally on board after a lot of thought and consideration.”

Yolanda Hadid when they met in 2017 — while Katharine had divorced Nick Cokas in 2016 after a childless marriage. The pop diva has currently been starring on Broadway in the hit musical "Waitress," but announced on July 14 that she had to miss performances because of a “family emergency.”
