American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee is parting ways with her record label, RCA.
“Katharine McPhee has moved on to support her other entertainment activities,” says a rep. McPhee admitted she struggled to find her own voice on her 2007 self-titled debut album. “The demos, it’s so hard once you hear whoever is singing to get that out of your head, especially for me, being new to recording,” she said.
McPhee’s news comes just after reports that AI‘s Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard were also dropped from the BMG family of labels.
