The emotionally unstable mother of
JonBenet Ramsey made shocking videotaped confessions to police after being confronted with “scientific evidence” allegedly linking her to the
little beauty queen’s murder! The body of the 6-year-old daughter of John and Patsy Ramsey was found in the basement of their home in Boulder, Colo., Christmas afternoon of 1996. A ransom note was left upstairs, but JonBenet had been sexually assaulted and strangled to death.

Now, in a blockbuster world exclusive,
The National ENQUIRER blows the lid off the chilling secret that lawmen have hidden for nearly 20 years — revealing Patsy Ramsey’s gripping disclosures about the officially unsolved murder! Over the course of three days in June 1998, the wealthy 41-year-old Boulder housewife (seen here with her husband) finally broke her silence and confessed to Colorado prosecutors that her mental health was unraveling.

Patsy added that her emotional problems had begun before her daughter’s beaten and strangled body was found in the basement of the family mansion! Patsy also told authorities that the writing in the rambling kidnapping note left by the killer — which experts said was very similar to her handwriting — looked “familiar.”
The troubling transcripts include the moment that Patsy insisted that she had no idea her bed-wetting daughter was sexually abused long before
the night of the tragedy — as she says that she's “extremely surprised” and “shocked” when an investigator confronted her about the physical evidence during questioning.

Under questioning by Tom Haney, a top Denver investigator on the Boulder D.A.’s team, cancer patient Patsy revealed she had an emotional meltdown in 1993 and was under psychiatric care. The former Miss West Virginia beauty queen also confessed she was under the influence of the mood stabilizers Prozac and Ativan as she was being questioned.
Haney then blindsided Patsy, asking in a sharp exchange: “If I told you right now we have in the process of being examined trace evidence that appears to link you to
the death of JonBenet, what would you tell me?” “That’s totally impossible,” Patsy replied — adding: "I did not kill my child. I didn’t have a thing to do with it.”
“I am talking about scientific evidence," added Haney. Patsy responded: “I don’t give a damn how scientific it is — go back to the damn drawing board. I didn’t do it. John Ramsey didn’t do it.”
The video also captures Haney asking JonBenet's mother about the evidence that the coroner had discovered of earlier sexual abuse. "Ms. Ramsey," asked Haney, "are you aware there had been prior vaginal intrusion on JonBenet?” Patsy replied: “No, I am not. Prior to the night she was killed?”

Haney assured her that he was confirming that JonBenet had been sexually assaulted in circumstances before the body was found in the basement, and asked: “Who — how could she have been violated like that?” “I don’t know," said Patsy — who added that she was "shocked" and "surprised," saying: "This is the absolute first time I ever heard that.”
About a year after Patsy was grilled at the Broomfield Police Department’s headquarters, a grand jury secretly voted to indict her — along with husband John Ramsey — on
two counts of child abuse resulting in the death of their 6-year-old. The jury didn’t directly accuse JonBenet’s parents of murder. Instead, documents indicate John and Patsy were accused of putting their girl in a dangerous situation and helping an unnamed killer.

Boulder District Attorney Alex Hunter refused to sign the indictment, so no formal charges were brought. The Ramseys were later exonerated. Subsequently, cops said they reluctantly covered up evidence of the grand jury’s demand for justice because proceedings are supposed to be kept secret, and they wanted to protect their investigation. But lawmen had JonBenet’s parents in the cross-hairs during Patsy’s interrogation — as detailed in these transcripts unearthed by The ENQUIRER.
On the morning that her daughter’s body was discovered — about eight hours after JonBenet was murdered by the crude garrote seen here — Patsy said she was “hysterical” and her husband was “cool and calm.” But he told her to call the police as he studied the bizarre hand-written ransom note Patsy found in the family’s kitchen. Patsy said she didn’t read the entire note before rushing upstairs to check on her child.
After battling ovarian cancer, Patsy passed away in 2006. She went to her grave insisting that she and her husband had nothing to do with JonBenet’s death. The case remains open, although private investigator Ollie Gray is convinced that an electrician named Michael Helgoth was involved in JonBenet's murder — with The ENQUIRER revealing
how police bungled the evidence in that investigation!Photo credit: Splash News
