As seen here, the pop diva put on an embarrassing display after swaggering out to the microphone — and leaving viewers aghast as she screeched through a sultry rendition of the national anthem. The "Glamorous" singer was roundly ridiculed on social media for her performance. Several former fans mocked: "Cocaine is a hell of a drug." Her vampish fumbling also had Fergie ridiculed as a "drunk Liza Minnelli" and "Marilyn Monroe on meth."

But the disastrous performance wasn't funny to Fergie's inner circle — with friends having already told The National ENQUIRER that they feared Fergie would lapse back into drug use after she finally confirmed The ENQUIRER's reports that her marriage was over. “Josh was Fergie’s entire world,” said an insider, “so the demise of their marriage has sent her into an emotional free-fall!”

“Everyone’s concerned when you consider her past demons,” the friend continued, “and how Josh won’t be there to hold her hand through crises. Besides that, Fergie’s often surrounded by some questionable influences, particularly when she’s on the road!” Her concerts right after the divorce were also blasted by disappointed fans — complaining that the troubled star was usually gone from the stage within an hour of starting her set!

Fergie has confessed earlier to how seriously she struggled with er addiction to crystal meth, saying: “I was suffering from chemically induced psychosis and dementia. I was hallucinating on a daily basis. It took a year after getting off that drug for the chemicals in my brain to settle so that I stopped seeing things. I’d just be sitting there, seeing a random bee or bunny.”

The mother-of-one also insisted that hitting rock bottom was a learning experience: “The drugs thing, it was a hell of a lot of fun — until it wasn’t. But you know what, I thank the day it happened to me.” Some insiders, however, fear that Fergie can't handle the new pressure, with the former Black Eyed Peas singer once saying drugs were “the hardest boyfriend I ever had to break up with!”
