Elvis Presley has been dead for 41 years — but Elvis’ exes Priscilla Presley and Ginger Alden are still battling over who ruled his heart! Statuesque beauty Ginger was the one who found Elvis dead on the floor of his bathroom in Graceland in August 1977 at the age of 42. But nearly ever since, Ginger and Priscilla have been locked in a nasty catfight to lay claim to Elvis’ romantic legacy — and the claws are still out! The National ENQUIRER revealed in February that Ginger was already seething over a British TV appearance where Priscilla once again said Elvis wanted her back in his final days. In a new blistering post on her Facebook page, Ginger called out Priscilla when fans claimed Elvis’ ex- wife was The King’s one true love…

“Priscilla is one of the reasons I have to defend myself,” Ginger fumed. “You don’t know her in the way I know her, and what I know she has done.” And a friend and close Elvis colleague told The ENQUIRER, the ex-beauty queen “continues to have great animosity toward Priscilla.”

The source added that the bitterness dates back to an interview Priscilla —
who divorced Elvis four years before his death — gave to author
Shirley Dieu, the girlfriend of Elvis’ road manager, Joe Esposito. Shirley talked to Priscilla for her book, “Memphis Mafia Princess: Living in the Elvis World,” and claimed Priscilla told her that Elvis, who proposed to Ginger seven months before his death, had no plans to marry her.

Priscilla then began to insist that the “Heartbreak Hotel” singer had already made a desperate plea for her to return to Graceland, saying: “I want my family back.
Lisa needs her mom and dad together.” The swivel-hipped singer’s pal added: “If Elvis had lived even just a few months longer, he would have seen a blood fight between Priscilla and Ginger.”

But, added the insider, “Priscilla didn’t want Elvis back.
She knew his life was being wasted by drug abuse. Besides that, he cheated on her repeatedly. But Priscilla still harbored a lot of jealousy toward Ginger — who was 12 years younger and a dead ringer for her!”

Priscilla met Elvis when she was 14 and dated him for eight years before saying “I do.” But the singer’s romance with Ginger was a whirlwind. She visited Elvis at Graceland in November 1976 with her family — and he proposed two months later!

Today, Priscilla still seethes that Ginger (here with Elvis in Hawaii) “continues to present herself as Elvis’ widow in many ways,” a friend said. “Priscilla believes Elvis would have eventually kicked Ginger to the curb before they ever married — and that he would have continued to carry a torch for Priscilla!”
