David Soul has been forced to give up his dream of one last "Starsky & Hutch" reunion — as the former '70s heartthrob is ravaged by health problems. As earlier revealed by The National ENQUIRER, David was first forced to cancel a 2017 appearance in Los Angeles after his doctors declared him too frail to fly. Paul Michael Glaser and Antonio "Huggy Bear" Fargas then traveled to David's home in England for a convention appearance that revealed their old costar was confined to a wheelchair. Tragically, that appearance inspired David to try a final reunion that he's now been denied!

David cancelled his appearance at a New Jersey autograph convention just days before the April 2017 event — with promoters announcing that it was "due to health reasons." Insiders said that they were originally informed that David couldn't appear, and were later shocked to get the call that he was planning to attend. "We were warned he might cancel," dished a convention insider, "but there's a lot of money at stake, and we were told that the UK convention really got him motivated!"

A source close to the former star, however, said: “David is on his last legs. He’s overweight, very feeble and has numerous health problems now. He has terrible trouble breathing and can’t walk.” Experts agreed that the 6'1" actor was wise not to fly — saying that similar ailing passengers risk developing potentially lethal blood clots from sitting on long flights. Despite needing a cane and wheelchair to get around, David insists he’s “not ill,” but the convention insider said: "We know this won't happen again — it looks like England got the last chance to see Starsky and Hutch back together!"
