Bette Midler: Down & Out Of Glamour In Beverly Hills

Bette Midler didn't look much like Bette Midler while out shopping in Beverly Hills — but she'll be back to Broadway glamour in 2017. Her starring role in a revival of "Hello, Dolly!" will have her saying hello to big bucks, too!

“Bette will be making over $200,000 a week in the show,” a source told The National ENQUIRER. “Plus, she gets a percentage of the box office — and merchandise sold, in addition to her base pay!" That's a major haul for an actress who's hitting the stage at 70 years old!

The actress first hit Broadway in the original 1964 production of "Fiddler on the Roof" — and Bette has supposedly worked hard to avoid showing her age. Renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, who hasn't treated the star, told The ENQUIRER in 2014: "Bette looks like she's had divine plastic surgery!"

The environmentally-conscious star wasn't interested in commenting — with Bette saying that same year: "I wish America would spend half the time complaining about plastics in the ocean as we do about actresses' plastic surgery!"
