Angela Lansbury — Frail Actress Passes On TV Comeback

The National ENQUIRER had the scoop on Angela Lansbury's dream of making a final comeback with a star turn on the hit cable series "Game of Thrones." As revealed exclusively by The ENQUIRER, fellow actress Diana Rigg had suggested the 90-year-old actress for the role of scheming senior citizen Olenna Tyrell. But, sadly, Angela's representatives have now announced that she won't be appearing on the show!

Sadly, readers of The ENQUIRER also know that's no surprise — after reporters caught Angela checking her car after it was involved in a shocking hit-and-run in front of her L.A. home. Neighbors were shocked by how weak the TV legend looked as she inspected her parked car. “Everyone’s hoping Angela’s okay,” says an insider. “Her age is showing, for sure, and we’re afraid she could be facing the end!”

The ENQUIRER was also there in October when the beloved star collapsed during a Broadway gala last year, and left friends and fans fearing the worst! "It looked like she was having a heart attack," said one eyewitness. "I didn't think she'd make it through the affair!"

Angela finally had to be supported by James Earl Jones' wife, actress Cecilia Hart, as the star looked infirm and ashen when she appeared at a benefit to honor the actor. "I don't know how she found the energy to be there at all," added the source. "I felt terrible for her."

The star has enjoyed some recent some personal triumphs, though. She managed a turn on Broadway in 2015 for a production of "Blithe Spirit," despite needing to wear discreet headphones to be prompted on her lines. She also saw CBS abandoning a planned reboot of "Murder She Wrote" with actress Octavia Spencer. But the news of Angela turning down the respected "Game of Thrones" has fans worried once again that she's facing her sad final days!
