Angela Lansbury Health Crisis

Legendary actress Angela Lansbury was caught up in a hit-and-run in Los Angeles — but the aftermath of the car crash wasn't nearly as disturbing as the sight of the fragile screen legend. The "Murder She Wrote" star went to check on her parked car after it had been damaged by a fleeing motorist on January 13, 2016. Angela didn't seem too upset at the damage. Longtime fans, however, were shocked at Angela's weakened condition!

The ENQUIRER was there in October when the beloved star collapsed during a Broadway gala last year, and left friends and fans fearing the worst! "It looked like she was having a heart attack," said one eyewitness. "I didn't think she'd make it through the affair!" The ENQUIRER reported that Angela looking infirm and ashen when she appeared at a benefit to honor actor James Earl Jones, and had to be supported by James' wife, actress Cecilia Hart. "I don't know how she found the energy to be there at all," added the source. "I felt terrible for her."

Angela's career has lasted over 70 years — starting with an Academy Award nomination for her first film role in 1944's "Gaslight." She's enjoyed some recent triumphs, too. She managed a return to Broadway last year in a production of "Blithe Spirit," despite needing to wear discreet headphones to be prompted on her lines. She also saw CBS abandoning a planned reboot of "Murder She Wrote" with actress Octavia Spencer after Angela expressed her outrage at the project. But this shocking look at Angela's current state has adoring fans once again worried that Angela is facing her sad final days!
