Aaron Hernandez Dead: NFL Killer Commits Suicide

Aaron Hernandez — the disgraced NFL star serving a life sentence for murder — was found hanged in his jail cell on the morning of April 19, 2017. Corrections officers at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Mass., found his corpse in a makeshift noose at 3:03 a.m., just days after Hernandez had been found innocent in a separate murder trial. Hernandez was convicted of shooting Odin Lloyd six times in 2013. The victim was dating the sister of Hernandez's then-fiancée, but police never established a motive.
