Sparks flew Tuesday night as Ted Cruz and Anderson Cooper had a verbal spat during the GOP town hall in Wisconsin.
Cruz, who has recently found himself embroiled in a sex scandal and is currently in a feud with opponent Donald Trump, was scrutinized about his contradictory views on Trump.
Anderson addressed Cruz’s tweet from December in which the candidate wrote: “The establishment’s only hope: Trump and me in a cage match. Sorry to disappoint, Donald Trump is terrific.”
“Did you really believe Donald Trump was terrific?” Cooper asked.

But Cruz couldn’t give a straightforward answer —instead saying that the media was “engaged in a lovefest” with Trump.
Cooper then took a jab at the presidential candidate, saying it sounded like it was Cruz who was “engaged in a lovefest” with Trump.
Cruz then refused to elaborate on his inconsistent views toward Trump, instead telling Cooper that he wanted to “keep the focus on issues and substance.”
